We want to buy our fish even more sustainably in the future. We have therefore signed an agreement with RE:OCEAN to collaborate on the production, sale and supply of what is probably the world’s most sustainable salmon to the German market. By doing so, we are committing to buy a significant share of RE:OCEAN’s salmon when production starts in 2026.
RE:OCEAN is revolutionizing the fishing industry with the land-based salmon farming of the future with a large-scale facility in Säffle in southern Sweden. With a new “ocean on land,” 10,000 tons of sustainable and healthy salmon can be produced each year.

Finally, we can offer you our completely renewed sushi range! Not only have we developed completely new components for you and put them together in exciting combinations, but we have also pushed ahead with our sustainability goals. Because with our new packaging, we save half of the plastic and are pioneers on the market with cardboard packaging. For more information, just take a look here.

    Mix it.

Our most popular Sushi pieces are now available in small snack packs.

Whether as a small, fresh snack or for mixing, we now offer e.g. 8 Hosomaki cucumber or 4 salmon nigiris in a small pack.

We also think it’s great that this packaging is transparent and consists of 70% recycled plastic.  Of course it belongs in the yellow bag.

  • November 2019

Time to get crispy on the sushi shelf.

We launch ONIGIRIS – the trend product from Japan – as a new category in our Sushi assortment.

The rice triangle with crispy nori wrapper is the ideal sushi snack for on the go.

We have filled our onigiris with delicious ingredients such as salmon & edamame, chicken & teriyaki or shiitake & soy sauce.

Brand new news: this summer, 3 new salads will find their way into the supermarkets. Buckwheat-, green tea- noodles and couscous lentils salads. The Buckwheat noodle salad and the Couscous salad are even vegan.

  • March 2018

On March 22, our first Natsu Retail Store opened its doors downtown Düsseldorf. The daily freshly produced dishes, such as vegan sushi boxes, sweet pots and poke boxes, upgrade and complement our existing product range.

Most of our packaging used in the store comes from recycled materials and our ingredients are mainly sourced locally. The products are labelled ‘store exclusive’.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in our store.

  • December 2017

After successfully launching our vegan wraps and salads, we are now producing a vegan lunch pot: welcome to the family, Dear Korma Rice with sweet potatoes.

And to keep the meat eaters happy as well: we are also launching the Soba Noodle lunch pot with marinated beef. These recipes were created in our “Foodstorming” cooking event where Social Media influencers and Natsu fans cooked up a storm.

  • August 2016

Keeping an eye on sustainability and minimizing our ecological foot print, we are now sourcing our rice brine (the secret ingredient to make our rice so delicious) from Germany and no longer Asia.

  • June 2016

From now on we are only using eggs from happy free chicken for our sushi rolls. For Tamago and Surimi this was already the case for quite some time – now we switched for our mayonnaise as well. The quality and origin of our ingredients are just as important as the taste of our products.

  • October 2014

We updated our sushi assortment and from now on, we provide our sushi boxes with paper bands made of sugar cane fibres. These fibres are residues from the process of cane sugar production. This way, not a single tree is cut for the purpose of making paper. Furthermore, with this paper – as opposed to recycled paper – no chemicals are needed to lighten it.

  • September 2014

126 meters is the height of the tower we could build within a year from all the paper we no longer need since we equip our drivers with PDAs (pocket sized computers). With our PDAs our delivery notes are redundant since all deliveries will be transmitted electronically from now on.

PS: Our Natsu-tower would be higher than the Statue of Liberty!

  • November 2013

Now our wraps are free of emulsifying agents, wetting agents and flour treatment agents. We think they taste even better now.

  • October 2013

It´s getting hot! The first Natsu-soup which is especially in winter a gain for our range. Our international soups to boil are made out of a lot of fresh vegetables, precooked noodles and an aromatic bouillon. We have a vegetarian variety and versions with chicken breast or shrimps. Just add boiling water, wait 1 minute, stir well and then you can already smell the great odor of the spices.

  • September 2013

The healthy energy salads by Natsu have found their way into the freezer cabinet. For your lunch or your big appetite now and then. The four varieties which are high in fiber and rich in protein make you definitely replete.

  • March 2013

Those little drawings and texts you find on our sandwich packs, that hopefully entertain you during your lunch, are printed with colors that do not contain mineral oil. Like this we prevent that unhealthy substances get into your food. We hope you enjoy it.

  • March 2013

For the packagings of our sandwiches and wraps we solely use carton which is made of wood that mainly comes from sustainable cultivated woods. We try not only to do something good for those who ultimately hold our packaging, but also to keep an eye on the place where they come from.

  • September 2012

In our sushi boxes you find wasabi and ginger packed separately now. We want to make sure they don´t give their taste to the sushi before you bring them together. Furthermore our Wasabi preparation contains 15% of real wasabi from now on. Of course we still stick to our values and surrender the use of artificial colors. The bright green comes from dried and powdered leaves of wasabi we use for coloration. Find more information here if you want.

  • May 2012

The growing and processing of our shrimps is as of now certified by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA).
The GAA is the leading international non-profit trade association which is dedicated to advancing environmentally and socially responsible aquaculture.

  • July 2010

All vehicles of our fleet of refrigerator vans will drive now at the maximum speed of 140km/h (87 mph). Hence our delivery vans will emit significantly less carbon dioxide. This is only a small step towards the big goal, because it is unfortunately not possible yet to avoid carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions entirely. But we are working on it.

We achieved a ‘higher level’ of the International Food Standards (IFS) in our sushi production.
